About 2h 45min by car — GoOpti or private transfer for the most practical journey
There are many Indians, few Chiefs – true Legends are rare.
And one drives the world — wherever you wish. 🚖
Pula sits at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula, about 235 km from Ljubljana. Its 1st-century Roman amphitheatre is the headline attraction — one of the largest and best-preserved in the world, still used for concerts and events. The city has a relaxed, lived-in feel that many visitors prefer to the more touristy northern Istrian towns.
Drive time from Ljubljana is about 2h 45min. There is no direct train. GoOpti and private transfers are the practical options.
GoOpti runs shared shuttles to Pula. They pick you up in Ljubljana, combine passengers going the same direction, and drop you in Pula. Journey time varies — typically 3–4h including pick-ups. Good value for solo travellers who aren't in a hurry.
We drive you directly from Ljubljana to Pula — your hotel, the amphitheatre, the bus station, wherever. Fixed price, no stops. For 3–4 people the cost per head is close to GoOpti and the journey is an hour shorter. If you're travelling with a group, a van (up to 8) is available.
Yes — we can pick you up at Brnik airport and drive you directly to Pula without going through Ljubljana city. Ask for the airport-to-Pula price when enquiring.
The drive is 2h 45min each way, so a day trip is tight. Most visitors stay at least one or two nights in Pula or use it as a base to explore southern Istria. If you want to see the amphitheatre and have one good meal, a long day trip is doable but tiring.
On the way to Pula you pass Poreč and Rovinj. We can include stops at multiple towns — just discuss the itinerary when booking.
