From Ljubljana Airport (Brnik — officially Jože Pučnik Airport, operated by Fraport Slovenia) to Rovinj is approximately 210 km. Journey time is around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on border wait times and traffic on the Istrian motorway.
The route heads south from Brnik on the Slovenian motorway, crosses the Croatia border near Dragonja, then continues on the Istrian Y motorway (Ipsilon) to the Rovinj exit. The last stretch of about 15 km goes through Istrian countryside to the town.
Slovenia is in the Schengen area, Croatia is not. At the border, all passengers need a valid passport or national ID card. Wait times vary — typically 5–15 minutes in low season, up to 30–45 minutes in peak summer (July–August). The border crossing cost is included in the transfer price.
We drive to your hotel or as close as vehicle access allows. Rovinj old town has restricted car access — we'll drop you at the most convenient point and guide you for the short walk to your accommodation. Provide your hotel name when booking.
