Vienna is ~380 km from Ljubljana — further than other options, but FlixBus makes it surprisingly easy and affordable. The drive via A2 south through Graz is straightforward motorway all the way. Many travellers coming from North America or Asia connect through VIE and continue to Slovenia.

CAT + Railjet + connection
