Koper is Slovenia's only commercial port and the largest coastal town in the country. Behind the modern port activity lies a beautifully preserved medieval old town — the Tito Square lined with Renaissance palaces, the Cathedral of the Assumption, and narrow streets that lead down to the waterfront.
From Ljubljana Airport, Koper is about 1 hour 30 minutes south — directly on the motorway, with no complicated routing. It's one of the more straightforward airport transfers in Slovenia.
